Seahawks Eye on Titans Breaking Down Their Bold Free Agent

One of the most overlooked moves made by new Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi this offseason was the signing of veteran defensive lineman Dre’Mont Jones. Jones, who spent the last two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, was brought in to bolster the Titans’ defense. On Tuesday, Seahawks head coach Mike MacDonald shared his thoughts on Jones’ impact, praising him as a key asset for the Titans.

“He’s a really talented player,” MacDonald said. “He’s a powerful force on the edge but also capable of rushing from the inside. His versatility gives you flexibility in the front, allowing him to move around and be effective both inside and out.”

After the Titans released star edge rusher Harold Landry III earlier in the offseason, they needed to fill the gap left in their defense. While the NFL Draft offers potential options, adding a proven and versatile player like Jones is always a wise choice.

A six-year NFL veteran, Jones spent his first four seasons with the Denver Broncos after being drafted in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. With 30.5 career sacks, 40 tackles for loss, an interception, three forced fumbles, and seven passes batted down, Jones will be a valuable addition to an already strong defensive line in Tennessee.
