“Insider Elliotte Friedman Drops Hint on Who Might Be the Chicago Blackhawks’ Next Coach”

January 10, 2025

The Chicago Blackhawks are without a full-time head coach, and according to Elliotte Friedman, they may be eyeing David Carle, the head coach of Team USA, as their next bench boss. At just 35 years old, Carle is one of the most accomplished coaches never to have worked in the NHL. He has already won two NCAA national championships with the University of Denver and two gold medals with Team USA at the World Junior Championship.

In a recent 32 Thoughts article, Elliotte Friedman highlighted David Carle as a strong potential candidate for the Chicago Blackhawks’ head coach position. Currently, Anders Sorensen is serving as the interim head coach after Luke Richardson’s dismissal. Carle, who has coached some of the Blackhawks’ top prospects like Oliver Moore, Sam Rinzel, and Frank Nazar, could be an ideal choice to lead the team through its rebuild and help return them to Stanley Cup contention.
