On Monday afternoon, Seattle Seahawks pass rusher Uchenna Nwosu sparked some speculation with a cryptic tweet. (Cue the eyeball emojis!)
While it’s all just guesswork for now, it seems like the perfect tweet after two surprising victories that have propelled the Seahawks into first place in the NFC West.
Nwosu, who has been eligible to return from injured reserve since Week 11, missed out on IR when he sprained his MCL in preseason. However, his thigh injury against the New York Giants kept him sidelined.
Since Week 5, the Seahawks defense has struggled without its most experienced edge rusher, but this time, they’ve managed to improve and shore up their run defense, something they couldn’t do last year.
Now, the team could soon open Nwosu’s 21-day practice window, and that could happen as early as this week before their trip to New York to face the Jets. With important divisional games and tough matchups against the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings ahead, his return would be perfectly timed.
