football, Saints tight end Juwan Johnson was expected to return to practice in some capacity on Tuesday evening and is now officially off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Johnson was initially placed on the PUP list at the start of camp, but recent reports confirm he has been activated.

Johnson underwent foot surgery in June and has spent the last few months recovering. The original expectation was that he could be ready for Week 1, and yesterday’s update suggests this is still a possibility.
