March 27, 2025

Tight end Ian Thomas is heading to a new chapter in his career, as the 28-year-old veteran has signed with the Las Vegas Raiders this afternoon. This marks his first move after spending all seven of his NFL seasons with the Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers drafted Thomas, an Indiana University product, in the fourth round of the 2018 draft. Over his time in Carolina, he totaled 119 receptions, 1,062 yards, and four touchdowns across 99 games.

As he enters the 2024 season, Thomas was the fourth-longest tenured Panther, with only long snapper JJ Jansen (16 seasons), linebacker Shaq Thompson (10 seasons), and offensive tackle Taylor Moton (eight seasons) having been in Charlotte longer.
