In a historic 128–113 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, the Knicks—one of the NBA’s oldest franchises—set both individual and team records.
Guard Josh Hart achieved his ninth triple-double of the season, marking the most by any player in a single season in Knicks history. He surpassed the previous record set by Hall of Famer Walt Frazier, who had eight triple-doubles as a rookie in 1968. Hart had six triple-doubles last season, tying for fifth place in the franchise’s record books.
Additionally, center Karl-Anthony Towns also recorded a triple-double in the win, making Tuesday’s game the first in Knicks history where two teammates achieved triple-doubles in the same game.
Hart finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists, while Towns posted 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Although there are still questions about the team’s performance in the playoffs, it’s clear the Knicks are capable of putting up impressive stats.
