The Detroit Red Wings are vying for a playoff position but may take an aggressive approach during the offseason to strengthen their lineup.

His future in Minnesota has been a major topic of discussion, and the team could decide to trade him to Detroit. Widely regarded as a top-10 player in the NHL, he would significantly boost the Red Wings’ chances of becoming a strong contender next season.
Trenin, on the other hand, is in the first year of a four-year, $14 million contract. The forward serves as a depth center, having recorded 6 goals and 7 assists for 13 points in 62 games.
In exchange, the Red Wings would send Raymond, a talented young forward. He is in the first year of an eight-year, $64.6 million deal. As Detroit aims for a quick return to competitiveness, Kaprizov is currently a better player than Raymond, but Minnesota is focused on building for the future.
