The Bengals have claimed wide receiver Isaiah Williams off waivers on Friday afternoon.

Williams, a rookie, initially signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in May. So far this season, he has recorded two receptions for six yards across two games, along with one kick return for 36 yards.

During the preseason, Williams stood out for the Lions, leading the team with 11 catches for 123 yards. He also contributed with six punt returns for 71 yards over three preseason games. The undrafted rookie could provide a boost to the Bengals’ return game and may offer depth in the slot position. While Williams isn’t known for his size or speed, his quickness and explosiveness make him well-suited for slot duties, where agility is key.
