“Seahawks’ DK Metcalf to Miss Bills Clash After Sudden Knee Surgery: Playoff Hopes Hang in the Balance!”

October 26, 2024

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf is currently listed as doubtful for Sunday’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Metcalf suffered a Grade 1 strain of the medial collateral ligament in his knee during last Sunday’s 34-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Head coach Mike Macdonald informed reporters on Friday that while Metcalf didn’t practice all week, there remains a slim chance he could play against Buffalo. “It’s doubtful right now for the game,” Macdonald stated. “It’s not entirely out of the question yet, so we’ll assess it on Sunday and go from there.”

At 26, Metcalf leads the Seahawks with 568 receiving yards and three touchdowns, having made 35 catches this season. If he is unable to play, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who leads the team with 37 receptions, along with Tyler Lockett, will be tasked with stepping up in his absence for Seattle (4-3).

Running back Kenneth Walker III, meanwhile, has no injury designation after returning to full practice on Friday following an illness.

On the defensive side, nose tackle Cameron Young (knee) is doubtful for the game, while cornerbacks Tre Brown (ankle) and Nehemiah Pritchett (ankle), as well as defensive end Mike Morris (ankle), are all listed as questionable.

Macdonald noted, “Tre practiced today and is trending positively for the game. Anything can happen between now and then, but we’re optimistic about Tre.”
