The Cleveland Browns are grappling with ongoing challenges on their offensive line, having used six different starting combinations in just seven games.
As they gear up to face the Ravens, the situation is further complicated by the absence of key players. Left tackle Jedrick Wills has been officially ruled out, while the status of right guard Wyatt Teller remains uncertain.
The injury report goes beyond the offensive line, with four players sidelined for the upcoming game, according to Cleveland reporter Mary Kay Cabot. Alongside Wills, linebacker Jordan Hicks (elbow, triceps), safety Ronnie Hickman Jr. (ankle), and running back Jerome Ford (hamstring) will also be missing from action.
There is some hope for Teller, who returned to practice this week after spending four games on Injured Reserve due to a knee issue. If he cannot play, Michael Dunn is poised to step in at right guard.
Wills’s situation adds to the challenge; he has been recovering from a serious knee injury last season, but recent setbacks have kept him off the field. The Browns may adjust their lineup by moving second-year tackle Dawand Jones to left tackle while keeping Jack Conklin on the right side.
In roster updates, Coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that Nyheim Hines will remain on the non-football injury list for the rest of the season. Hines is still dealing with recovery from an ACL tear sustained in a jet ski accident last July.
At quarterback, Dorian Thompson-Robinson will serve as the backup to Jameis Winston, despite dealing with a finger injury from the recent game against the Bengals. Additionally, Bailey Zappe, recently signed from the Chiefs’ practice squad, will provide emergency depth at the position.
