The Indianapolis Colts have announced the re-signing of running back Trent Pennix to their practice squad, while kicker Spencer Schrader has been released as part of this move.

At 24 years old, Pennix has experience playing both running back and tight end during his college career. He originally signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent from NC State in May.
He was waived with an injury settlement in August.
Throughout his college career, Pennix recorded 55 receptions for 712 yards (12.9 yards per catch) and 11 touchdowns, in addition to 41 rushing attempts for 240 yards (5.9 yards per carry) and one touchdown.
