Clemson’s dominant victory over N.C. State was overshadowed by the loss of a key recruit from the Tigers’ 2025 football class. Defensive tackle Isaiah Campbell announced that he has decommitted from Clemson and will be exploring other options.
Campbell, who originally committed to Clemson in January, shared his decision on social media, stating, “I am continuing to build relationships with schools that share my values and goals.”
He later informed On3 that he has scheduled official visits to Tennessee on October 15 and North Carolina on November 15. He also made an unofficial visit to North Carolina two weeks ago.
Campbell had previously visited Clemson for last season’s Notre Dame game, returned for a junior day in late January, and took an official visit in early June. He had chosen Clemson from a group of top programs including Alabama, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, LSU, Duke, Penn State, North Carolina, N.C. State, and Miami.
During his last season, Campbell recorded 16 sacks and 27 tackles for loss. His decommitment leaves Clemson with 14 commitments and just one defensive tackle in their 2025 recruiting class.
