The Indianapolis Colts were busy on Tuesday, executing several roster moves. They signed defensive tackle Adam Gotsis, cornerback Gregory Junior, and defensive end Titus Leo to the practice squad. To accommodate these additions, the team released defensive tackle McTelvin Agim and cornerback Ameer Speed.
Gotsis, the standout of the new signings, brings significant experience with eight NFL seasons and 121 career games. Last year, he played all 17 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars, starting seven. He recorded 26 combined tackles, four passes defended, three tackles for loss, and one sack, along with a notable 330 special teams snaps.
Junior, also a former Jaguar, was drafted by the team in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He played in nine games last season, logging 11 combined tackles, three tackles for loss, and one pass defended during 93 defensive snaps.
Leo, who was originally drafted by the Colts in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, returns to the practice squad after a brief release on September 11.
In contrast, Agim, a third-round pick by the Denver Broncos in 2020, has had a nomadic career and joined the Colts’ practice squad in late August. Speed, who was acquired from the New England Patriots last season and contributed mostly on special teams, did not make the 53-man roster this season but was retained on the practice squad.
