Following a commanding victory over the Rams in Week 2, the Arizona Cardinals have added former Los Angeles Rams seventh-round pick from the 2023 NFL Draft, safety Jason Taylor II, to their practice squad. Taylor, who played in four games for the Rams last season and participated in the 2024 preseason, was a standout at Oklahoma State. In his senior year, he led the Big 12 with 80 solo tackles and topped the conference in interceptions. His impressive athleticism was evident at the NFL Combine, where he ran a 4.50-second 40-yard dash and jumped 43 inches vertically.

As the Cardinals prepare for their Week 3 game against the Detroit Lions, they have released Marquis Hayes from their practice squad. Hayes, a seventh-round pick by the Cardinals in the 2022 NFL Draft, has had an inconsistent stint with the team since his selection. The 25-year-old appeared in preseason games for the Cardinals in both 2023 and 2024 and was a reliable starter at Oklahoma, earning second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2021.
