The New Orleans Saints should approach 2024 with a strong sense of urgency. Head coach Dennis Allen is under pressure, and many of the team’s veteran players are nearing the end of their careers. This iteration of the Saints needs to push for a win in the NFC South before their core group starts to decline. Fortunately, they received some encouraging injury news about one of their key offensive players. According to Nick Underhill of new orleans.
football, Saints tight end Juwan Johnson was expected to return to practice in some capacity on Tuesday evening and is now officially off the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. Johnson was initially placed on the PUP list at the start of camp, but recent reports confirm he has been activated.
Johnson underwent foot surgery in June and has spent the last few months recovering. The original expectation was that he could be ready for Week 1, and yesterday’s update suggests this is still a possibility.
