In a significant boost to their 2025 recruiting class, LSU has secured a commitment from the No. 1 cornerback in America, DJ Pickett. The 5-star corner from Zephyrhills, Florida, chose the Tigers over Oregon and Miami.
This commitment is a major win for Tigers secondary coach Corey Raymond. Renowned for his role in establishing LSU as “DBU,” Raymond has been focused on Pickett since his return to Baton Rouge in January.
Pickett, who stands at 6’4″ and weighs 179 pounds, is the No. 3 overall prospect in On3’s rankings for 2025. His addition complements the Tigers’ already impressive class, which includes the No. 1 overall recruit, quarterback Bryce Underwood.
With Pickett on board, LSU’s 2025 recruiting class now boasts 17 commits. On3 ranks the Tigers’ class No. 3 in the country.
