Just In: Buffalo Bills secure dynamic talent in initial ESPN 2025 NFL mock draft

July 10, 2024

Before the Buffalo Bills have even started their preseason, opinions are flying about their key areas of need. Many focus on the unproven talent in the receiving corps, especially critical when Josh Allen is quarterback. Every position on the team could theoretically use an upgrade to reach All-Pro caliber, but that’s a lofty goal unfairly applied to players like tight end Dalton Kincaid and Terrell Bernard, who are still proving themselves.

Kincaid and Bernard had impressive debut seasons with the Bills, but they haven’t yet reached their peak. Talk of replacing them is premature; developing players into top performers is a coaching challenge. Nevertheless, teams are always looking to improve, making discussions about the Bills’ need for a field-stretching playmaker or a solid defensive back under Sean McDermott common.

Looking ahead, attention turns to the 2025 NFL Draft prospects and how they might fit with the Bills. ESPN’s Matt Miller’s early mock draft places Buffalo 26th, projecting their needs for an edge rusher, a position lacking a standout game-changer on the current roster.
