Pittsburgh Steelers player Isaiah Buggs, now a defensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs, was jailed on Monday after his bond was revoked by a judge following his arrest on felony charges of domestic violence and burglary on Sunday.
Buggs, who spent three seasons with the Steelers, faces charges of second-degree burglary and domestic violence. He was detained in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with a mandatory 24-hour hold for domestic violence, and his bond is set at $5,000.
Sources reported to the Tuscaloosa Patch that Buggs is alleged to have been involved in a physical altercation with an ex-girlfriend during the incident.
Tuscaloosa County District Court Judge Joanne Jannik revoked Buggs’ bond due to multiple pending charges, including two counts of second-degree animal cruelty.
Buggs, who played college football at Alabama and was selected by the Steelers in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, has also played for the Las Vegas Raiders, Detroit Lions, and the Chiefs after being released by the Steelers in January 2022.
