San Tan Charter High School’s standout wide receiver, Uriah Neloms, has committed to Arizona State University’s football program for the 2025 season, announced Sunday. Standing tall at 6-foot-4 and weighing 196 pounds, Neloms impressed with his physical prowess on the field during his junior season with the San Tan Charter Roadrunners, amassing 1,118 yards and scoring 13 touchdowns on 53 receptions, while even showcasing his versatility with a touchdown pass.
Neloms caught the eye of ASU’s wide receivers coach, Hines Ward, at a recent 7-on-7 showcase hosted by the university, where he was subsequently offered a spot on Friday. Earlier, he had received an offer from Arizona under the guidance of wide receivers coach Bobby Wade. Reflecting on his commitment, Neloms shared with Sports360AZ’s Jordan Hamm that ASU Head Coach Kenny Dillingham asked him about his dream school, to which Neloms replied, “Where I can play football.”
Despite receiving offers from Air Force, Army, and Dartmouth, Neloms opted for the in-state powerhouses, making ASU and Arizona his top choices. According to 247Sports, he is ranked as a three-star prospect and the 16th best in Arizona’s 2025 class.
Neloms’ commitment bolsters ASU’s strong recruiting class, currently ranked second in the Big 12 and 17th nationally for 2025 recruits. With 18 total commitments, ASU leads the Big 12 in recruiting efforts. Neloms joins Adrian Wilson as one of four wide receivers committed to ASU’s 2025 class and stands as the second Valley athlete alongside Saguaro’s Dajon Hinton to pledge to the Sun Devils.
