The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are excited to announce the signing of prop Tom Amone, who will join the team for a two-year contract starting in 2025. After informing his teammates at Leigh Leopards, Amone confirmed his return to the NRL following the conclusion of the Super League season. Known for his prowess as a formidable ball carrier, the 27-year-old brings valuable depth to the Bulldogs’ forward lineup. Having previously played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Wests Tigers, Amone’s return to the NRL marks a homecoming to the Blue and White jersey. His NRL journey began in 2019 with the Rabbitohs before moving to the Tigers in 2021, followed by a successful stint in the Super League with the Leigh Leopards, where he notably contributed to their 2023 Challenge Cup victory. Bulldogs’ General Manager of Football, Phil Gould, expressed enthusiasm about Amone’s imminent arrival, citing his impressive performance as the top front row forward in the UK and anticipating his contribution to the team’s forward strength. The Bulldogs eagerly anticipate welcoming him to Belmore for the upcoming pre-season.
