Elijhah Badger, formerly of Arizona State University, has declared his commitment to the University of Florida. According to the On3 Transfer Portal Industry Rankings, Badger holds a four-star rating as a receiver. Among his final considerations were Arizona and Washington.
Badger, who previously played for the Sun Devils, boasts impressive stats of 1,640 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns during his tenure with the team. With 35 games under his belt over four seasons, he brings substantial experience to the Gators. His addition is significant for Florida, especially following the departure of last season’s top wide receiver, Ricky Pearsall, who was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Originally hailing from Folsom High School in Sacramento, California, Badger was a highly touted four-star recruit in the 2020 class, attracting attention from schools such as Wisconsin, Washington State, and Utah. He received offers from prominent programs like Texas A&M, Tennessee, Michigan, Oregon, and others.
In addition to Badger, the Gators have secured former Wisconsin receiver Chimere Dike via the transfer portal. Head coach Billy Napier will be aiming for his inaugural winning season at Florida in 2024.
