Brubacher, aged 23, comes with recent experience from NFL mini-camps with the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints. The linebacker, standing at six-foot-five and weighing 246 pounds, hails from Listowel, Ontario. He was drafted 16th overall in the 2024 CFL Draft after an impressive stint at Wilfrid Laurier University.
During his time with the Golden Hawks from 2021 to 2023, Brubacher showcased his skills in 27 games, accumulating 61 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, four passes defended, and one forced fumble. Notably, he transitioned to football after pursuing boxing, starting his football career at Laurier in 2021.
Meanwhile, Jones, aged 26, arrives with NFL experience, having played one game for the Carolina Panthers over two seasons (2022-2023). The Starkville, Mississippi native, standing at six-foot-three and weighing 255 pounds, also saw action with the Green Bay Packers in 2022, and had stints with the Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins, and Atlanta Falcons in 2021.
Jones had a solid college career at Mississippi State, participating in 49 games from 2017 to 2020. His collegiate stats include 100 total tackles, 21.5 tackles for loss, seven quarterback sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
