The Bears are anticipated to select Williams as the first overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, scheduled for later this month. USC quarterback Caleb Williams, expected to be the Bears’ top draft choice, responded to assertions that he has never faced adversity on Tuesday.

Adversity:

Taking to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Williams shared a video in response to analyst Greg McElroy’s comments on the “This is Football” podcast. McElroy suggested that Williams “has never experienced adversity” and questioned whether there was a sense of entitlement in his approach. He drew comparisons to Patrick Mahomes, who remains motivated by being selected 10th overall in 2017.
